[The above info is genuine feedback but many MX ball joint boots are the type with integral metal flanges which press onto the joints and the problem is the shoulder on the joints is too shallow, to clip a conventional boot onto. One customer fitted boot 3 to his 1993 1.6  MK1 by clipping on top of the collar of the old boot].

These track control arm and ball joint dust boots are suitable for ball joints with a large diameter taper; such as most modern car ball joints, that use pinch bolts instead of nuts. The shank of them is usually about 16 mm and most popular Fords are fitted with them.


They are also suitable for light commercial and 4WD track rod ends, that have a stub of around that size.
